Tequila Express: A Collaboration Extraordinaire Tequila Express takes the diverse backgrounds of Daniel Nathan and Serdar G, mixes them in a blender, and serves the refreshing vibe with no chaser. This collaboration merges rich musical histories and genre-spanning influences, promising a fresh and unique sound that resonates with audiences of all ages. Daniel Nathan: Multitalented Maestro Daniel Nathan, a disciple of the six strings, cut his teeth in 1998 with an old Harmony acoustic guitar. He performs solo shows with his guitar and harmonica, paying homage to late '60s through '90s era rock n' roll, and presenting his own original compositions. Peaking interest with adept solos over live-looped rhythms, Daniel's shows are a testament to his skill and creativity. As a songwriter, bandleader, and multi-instrumentalist, Daniel saw recent success with Funky Chemist, a Jazz Fest inspired instrumental organ trio. Daniel's heavy guitar and radiant flute are showcased on the trio's 2020 "Groove Generator" album, reaching #195 on the NACC top 200. Before the pandemic, Daniel manned the P-bass and paid tribute to "Duff" of Guns N' Roses with the band Nightrain International, touring across the U.S. and internationally in Ecuador, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, and Southwest Asia. Serdar G: The Reggae Virtuoso Serdar G, a gifted guitarist and vocalist from Ankara, Turkiye, infuses his music with the soulful essence of blues, reggae, jazz, calypso, and soca. His professional journey brought him to the United States, where he has played with renowned bands such as Cyril Paul and the Calypso Monarchs, Iroots, Shangoya, and MJGD - Minneapolis Jazz Guitar Duo, as well as the two-time Minnesota Music Awards winner Dred I Dread. As a student of renowned guitarist Mimi Fox during Jazz Camp West 2024, Serdar G has further honed his exceptional talent. Serdar G has performed at festivals and concerts worldwide, sharing the stage with legendary acts like The Wailers, Yellowman, Israel Vibration, The Meditations, Itals, Culture, and De La Soul. His unique playing style blends a deep understanding of Blues with the vibrant rhythms of Reggae, Turkish music and other genres, earning him a devoted following.
